Steve Larkin – Owner/Contractor

A life-long resident of the South Bay, Steve has been a fixture in the local building industry for 30 years. From his early days working in a lumberyard and a framing apprenticeship to his finish carpentry business, Steve has literally learned the construction business from the ground up.

A licensed General Contractor since 1999, Steve brings an easy-going, yet refined aesthetic to the art of building homes. With an emphasis on custom homes in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach, SRL Construction has residential and commercial projects ranging along the South Bay coast from Palos Verdes to Malibu including Pacific Palisades, Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills. Steve gives each project his individual attention and his reputation is defined by a loyal clientele. With a strong support team and excellent relationship with related trades, Steve Larkin and SRL Construction work synergistically to bring success to your project.

Steve is a third generation Angelino and a lifelong Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers and LA Kings fan. If Steve isn’t watching his favorite teams play, you’ll catch him on the golf course or traveling with his wife Deborah of 29 years.

Jim O’Donnell - Accounting

A graduate of University of Southern California began his career with the “Big 8” accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand. He moved on to work for Bixby Ranch Company the iconic Long Beach real estate development company where he performed his duties as “Manager of Taxation and Special Projects” for 24 years until the company liquidated it’s holdings. From there he worked for several years with a South Bay residential builder (meeting Steve Larkin). Jim handles all accounting functions for SRL Construction and provides clients with detailed and updated budget information and responds to any questions regarding billing.

When Jim isn’t glued to an Excel spreadsheet he’s either golfing or enjoying the great outdoors.

Kevin Olson – Estimating/Project Management

Kevin grew up in the South Bay and is a graduate of the University of San Diego, with a degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Supply Chain Management. He has worked in the construction industry for over 12 years. Beginning his career in accounting and office management he grew to learn the field operations. Now working between the office and the field with estimating/bidding and following through with subcontract administration and material procurement.

When Kevin isn’t working in the field or on dad duty, you’ll find him catching a wave at one of his favorite South Bay surf spots.

Caitlin Larkin – Office Manager/ Project Coordinator

Caitlin grew up in the South Bay and is a 2010 graduate of UC Santa Cruz. After graduation she lived in Paris, France and returned home in 2012 where she worked as a property manager for a firm in Manhattan Beach. Caitlin’s management of income property (approximately 900 units) gives her insight into the residential building world. She is known for building lasting client relationships.

As her father Steve’s business continued to grow he offered Caitlin a position with SRL Construction in 2016. Caitlin’s background in property management makes her a great coordinator between clients and SRL employees or tradesmen. She is there to facilitate operations and loves being involved with design, one of her passions.

When Caitlin isn’t busy being “The Hammer” she is rescuing cats and dogs from LA Shelters or other detrimental situations.
